Largman tapped as Universal Creative VP

LargmanUniversal Studios Hollywood has upped its chief theme park ride and CityWalk attraction developer Chip Largman to senior VP, Universal Creative.Largman recently oversaw the addition of Peter Jackson's "King Kong 360 3-D" to the park to replace the "King Kong" attraction that was destroyed in the studio's backlot fire in 2008.The Visual Effects Society awarded the ride "Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project," a first for a theme park attraction.Largman's other recent projects include CityWalk's "5 Towers" outdoor concert venue that opened this summer.He's currently shepherding the "Transformers: The Ride 3D" ride, based on Paramount and Hasbro's franchise, helmed by Michael Bay, who is consulting on the project.
